Wow..a double today..:)
I picked up a bag of Vidalia onions on sale today so I thought I should find something to do with them for dinner. I found this recipe for VIDALIA ONION PIE
It is delicious. Almost like a quiche. The only changes I made was to halve the recipe and use evaporated milk in place of the cream and I used cheddar cheese. Made some bacon for the hubby too to crumble on top.
After finding this recipe I realized I did not have any ready made pie crusts on hand. Soooo...I searched for one using crisco...cheaper than butter these days and that is what I had in the pantry. RECIPE HERE
