Baa Baa Black Sheep
Well I did a painting tonight and titled it Baa Baa Black sheep...
Simply because that is what Emms' favorite song is right now
I have no idea why..we have listened to it a few times on youtube..with other nursery rhymes..
but she is stuck on this one...so I did a painting about it..
HOWEVER...after looking up what the song really means..or what others interpret it to mean...
It is about Political Corruption..hmmm
How fitting Emm..you are ahead of your times...LOL
Just teasing..but here is what I could find out about the song..from what I "googled"
Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" is an English nursery rhyme, the earliest surviving version of which dates from 1731. The words have changed little in two and a half centuries. It is sung to a variant of the 1761 French melody Ah! Vous dirai-je, Maman. Uncorroborated theories have been advanced to explain the meaning of the rhyme. These include that it is a complaint against Medieval English taxes on wool and that it is about the slave trade. In the twentieth century it was a subject of controversies in debates about political correctness. It has been used in literature and popular culture as a metaphor and allusion. The Roud Folk Song Index, classifies this tune and its variations as number 4439.
Recent versions tend to take the following form:

- Baa, baa, black sheep,
- Have you any wool?
- Yes, sir, yes, sir,
- Three bags full;
- One for the master,
- And one for the dame,
- And one for the little boy
- Who lives down the lane.[1]
"This popular rhyme probably dates back to the Middle Ages, possibly to the 13th Century, and relates to a tax imposed by the king on wool. One-third went to the local lord (the 'master'), one-third to the church (referred to as the 'dame') and about a third was for the farmer (the 'little boy who lives down the lane')."
Have I bored you to tears yet...
Yeah..I think so...
Anyway..here is my interpretation of Baa Baa Black sheep
