I never realized that pierogi were so easy to make.
The dough is very simple and delicious.
The recipe I used calls for sour cream..it is wonderful!

I stuffed mine with sauerkraut and potato mixture..
Served with sauerkraut on the side and a nice whole grain mustard.
I do not have a pierogi maker and many people make them with a biscuit cutter or a glass dipped in flour.
You simply fill them and shape them like a crescent moon.
I recently purchased a ravioli maker..so I used that instead...I made 12 at a time and it was awesome!
No..they did not look like the pierogi I grew up on ..but they tasted the same!
