New Floor TrafficMASTER Almeda Hickory Laminate

Another project complete! We chose laminate flooring. This is called ALMEDA HICKORY  by TrafficMASTER
Sold at home depot for .99 per square foot. I could not believe the price!
This is a quality product for minimal cost.
Originally we did not think we could even afford  the look of hard wood but after finding this we were all in.
My husband's grandparents generously paid for our living room floor to be complete and with the help of my father and husband this was put down in 2 days!

La's Totally Awesome Cleaning Product is Amazing!

I have been keeping busy as we just moved into our Fixer Upper home. The house has an old linoleum floor in the kitchen that was just covered in caked in dirt and grime...you name it.
I could not live with it like that..not even until we re-do it. I had to get it clean!
I came across this product in Big Lots before we moved and I thought I would give it a try.
It is called La's Awesome Cleaning and let me tell you it is Awesome!
I just sprayed the linoleum..let it sit a few minutes and the grease and dirt that was embedded into every little nook and cranny wiped off effortlessly.
Not only did it clean my kitchen floor but it also works great on wood work. Cleaned the front door that was also caked and dirty and now it is shiny and looking great. I can't get enough of this stuff.
You can find it at Dollar General and Big Lots as well as on AMAZON

Every bit of this floor had this black caked on dirt embedded in it.

When I was finished...every bit of it was gone!

Be sure to add a bit of sour cream as well..we used bacon, green onions and sharp cheddar.

Leftover Candy Craft

What to do with all the leftover candy from Valentine's day or in our case..last Easter?? LOL
We do love candy in this house but just a little bit at a time..sometimes the Easter Bunny or Cupid brings a little too much...
This was my brilliant idea to use it up. Instead of stickers and beads and glue to play with..we played with licorice, candy hearts and chocolate coins. Emm had a blast..in between bites of candy...without the glue of course. It was pretty fun..and I am glad the candy is gone for now. One more month until the Easter Bunny brings some more!

Pinterest Project #127 Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

The best I have ever tried. Came out very creamy. I think next time I make these I will add some thinly sliced onion as well.

Pinterest Project #125 Crock-Pot Honey Mustard Chicken

The recipe calls for using a whole chicken.
I only had boneless chicken breasts and it came out very good but next time I would definitely go for the whole chicken or bone-in thighs/breasts.
The sauce is delicious. Very easy to prepare..Whole grain mustard, honey, olive oil and butter. Set it and forget it.
